Located in Livemmo (a fraction of Pertica Alta), it is easily reachable by the street or also by a natural footpath from Lake of Bongi in Mura.
This massive building was built during the second half of 1500 and it was used for “the first iron working process”, but then only to melt iron waste.
Thanks to the nineteenth-century maps it had been possible to know the exact location of the various elements from which it was composed.
The melting Furnace closed in 1848 and, nowadays it is an important archaeological site in Valle Sabbia.
