This refuge is located at 655 meters altitude, on Mount Cugni and it is managed by CAI (Italian alpine club).
It provides covered spaces (veranda and a porch), with tables, benches and a barbecue; there is also a “refuge room” with bathrooms, in fact this structure is supposed also to be a bivouac.
It stands in a panoramic position, from which you can enjoy a majestic view over some villages of middle and upper valley, overall the huge mountain peaks that can be admired and distinguished thanks to the “Cannocchiali”: binoculars made with iron tubes. The peaks that you can admire from here are: Mount Doppo, Mount Prealba, Mount Guglielmo, Mount Palo, Rifugio Nasego, Mount Ario, Mount Pezzeda, Mount Falcone, Mount Tigaldine, Mount Colombine, Corna Blacca, Caldoline peak, Dosso Alto, Mount Castello, Mount Cadria, Mount Besume, Mount Zigla, Mount Spino, Mount Pizzoccolo and Mount Baldo.
This place is a crossing point for several trekking trails surrounded by nature, which start from Odolo, Gavardo or Vallio Terme. These trails are very recommended during autumn and spring period.
